Today, as a change from the usual 'weird' word for Monday, I'm cheating a bit because I thought it would be nice to share some pictures with you, of a country fair we attended at a National Trust Property in the Chilterns, not far from where I live. It was a lovely day out, many stalls with local produce, pony rides, logging demonstrations and refreshments from stalls and barbeques.

 |
| Everything from handmade garden scarecrows |
 |
| To honey and cute animal candles |
 |
| A display of how prehistoric man lived |
 |
| Being an animal lover, not too sure about all the animal skins, but it was a very interesting exhibit |
 |
| Delicious homemade cakes, not forgetting... |

| Flowers |

| and amazing wood carvings |
Hope you've enjoyed this little walk around the Country Fair with me - join me tomorrow when I'll be hosting fellow 'Festival Of Romance' author, Sue Moorcroft.

OMG! That's so cool! Looks like a good time!
ReplyDeleteShoot put me down for a wood carving, candles, you name it and don't forget the darn cake will you! Preferably with buttercream frosting. the bad stuff...
ReplyDeleteMmmmmmm......
I love craft fairs, how do you get the husband to go????
Hi Melissa, thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's a great day out, with a lot to see.
Hi Mary, dear friend,
ReplyDeleteThose wood carvings were beautiful, but very, very expensive.(They're started off with a chain saw, but most of the carving is done by hand and must take days.) I'd have loved a bear, or a red kite (first picture) to put in my garden. Those cakes all had rich butter cream frosting!
(DH actually enjoys these events as much as I do, which is a good thing, or I wouldn't get to them.)
