MONDAY'S WORD - BABYDOLLS


'Babydolls' are a kind of sexy lingerie item, aren't they?

Not according to an intriguing note in Michael Quinion's weekly 'Worldwide Words'*
Apparently:


BABYDOLLS are a breed of miniature sheep, proving useful in a New Zealand vineyard because they keep the grass short but aren't tall enough to eat the grapes off the vines.

Aw, isn't that sweet - live and learn!
